I never tried that color, but I think it works pretty well with the nickel finish on your Colt.

Here is my Colt Cobra with the bronze Tyler T grip adapter I got from Otony. Probably a nickle finish or brushed aluminum adapter would have matched better, but I like the contrast and it does feel so good in the hand. I have been shooting it a little this morning.
