Doubt I'll (reply)

Ever abandon the .45, whether in the form of a 454 Casull, 45acp, or the best of them all, the grand old 45 Colt, it is plain and simply the best caliber for me. The 290gr SWC that I cast, is the easiest to cast, the easiest to size, and it gives me the small little groups I desire, plus it is enough bullet for anything I need it for. Now, I will say, I wouldn't turn my nose up at a Flattop 41, or a Model 83 in 41, but no one has offered to give me theirs.

hopeless calibur (reply)

Ya know.... when I bought my .41 Mag Blackhawk, I was thinking of the same thing... but the price, $250 for the gun, was too tempting...

but now with the unavailability of nearly every other "normal" cartridge.. I can find .41 Mag online easier and cheaper than I can .45acp, .357Mag or 9mm... so the .41 Mag has now become a reasonable cartridge for me.... Heheheh

Yes indeed (reply)

Love the Front Sight! SK makes some incredible grips, and that is one beautiful sixgun! My only fear would be, that I wouldn't want to carry it around any more for fear of mussing up such fine work. Mine is already missing some bluing, and it is not quite 2 years old.

.41 Magnum by Dave Clements, finish by Turnbull and grips by SK.

If it wasn't in such a hopeless caliber it would be a nice revolver.

I need a second job!

I was perusing the Turnbull website, and saw the picture of the Ruger Flattop with the Color Case Frame, and Charcoal Blue for the rest, absolutely gorgeous! I think my Flattop .45 defintely needs that treatment.
