I would also add that I'm only selling this VM-2 because... (reply)

After owning it for 25+ years, I sold my Detonics MKVI Combat Master.

I would say it's 'different', not better or worse. (reply)

(Edited for grammar.)

I also have a VM-2 and an 'original' Summer Special for that Keeper-Of-All-Keepers: The S&W J-Frame.

Each holster has its advantages, its disadvantages, and most importantly, its place.

The differences are pretty obvious (e.g., widely-spaced loops vs. closely-spaced loops, or just one loop for that matter, etc.). I think to fully appreciate them, you have to actually try both holsters.

In my experience, that means buying the holsters and wearing them for some time.

'C'est la vie.'

PS: If it's any consolation, 'I feel your pain.' (Of indecision...)

FS: Milt Sparks VM-2 Holster (Black | 1½" Loops | 3½" 1911)

This is a very slightly used Milt Sparks Versa Max II holster for a 3½" 1911. (aka, "VM-2"; marked "OACP", for Colt Officer's ACP)

The holster is Black in color and has 1½" belt loops.

I carried a 3½" Detonics MKVI Combat Master in it, but only a few times.

The holster might also 'work' with a 3" 1911, such as a Colt Defender, but I wouldn't recommend it. I doubt the 'empty' end of the holster would collapse, but it might over the long run, and I think it would be better to stick with
a 3½" gun in this one. (Buyer's Choice, though, of course.)

Note the pic of the interior was taken with a flash, so the photo looks far 'worse' than the actual item: The holster is barely used, inside and out.

Price: $125 (shipped & insured Priority Mail)

PS: As an aside, I think "NH" does some of the best work at Milt Sparks.
