Nope, no light beer or electric cars. I'm looking cool in a Buick Rendezvous. I think I am going to pass on the FT 357 though, a new .44 Special is much more useful for me here in MO. I already have a long barrel .357 anyway in the S&W 586.

My wife got a little nervous, hearing the steady, click, click all the time.

So I never bothered to tell her about the Colt Cobra .38 in my jeans front pocket.

Seems like I recall reading that Hank Williams Jr. did the same thing after he fell off the mountain and busted his face open. A friend brought him a Blackhawk with the cylinder removed, and Hank lay in his hostital bed and dryfired at the doorknob to teach his eyes to focus together again.

When I was recovering from cancer treatments last summer, I used a recently purchased .357 Ruger OMBH, 6 1/2 in. barrel as my "therapy gun."

To help overcome the shaking in my hands, I would laod it with Zoom Caps - hammer back two clicks, load one, skip one, laod four, hammer back and then slowly let the hammer forward. Then I would raise it to eye level, two-handed, and dry fire five rounds, using the door knob on the bathroom door opposite my bedroom as my aiming point. Awfully wobbly in the beginning and I could only get off 5 founds before my arms gave out. Then I would unload and load the gun again.

By the end of the summer, I got all the way up to 30 rounds before tiring.

Just shot it with real ammo a couple of weeks ago. Nice tight groups at 10 yards, cowboy action shooting distance. No shakes, no wobbles.

I also have returned to the dojo and hope to regain some agility and strength from my sword exercises there. Much tougher than shooting.

Dude, all the sunshine and warm weather and other winter decadence is having an adverse affect on your thinking. Next thing we're gonna hear is that you've gone over to Bud Light and are now driving a Chevy Volt. Come back to Fairbanks before it's too late!

Dangit, found another OM FT 357

And they only want $379.00 for it. It's sitting in the case at a predominantly black rifle store. Unconverted, with wood grips, 6.5 inch barrel. A few years ago I would have plunked the money down immediately, I was saving for a new FT .44 Special though. Decisions.....decisions.......
