the algorithm doesn't decide you're "iffy" then you are good to go in about 1 minute. "Iffy" generally takes about 30 minutes, as many as have been going through (about 1/3rd are delayed) I imagine we're probably getting into the 1-2 day wait for delayed buyers. Virginia opted out of the national system so that the State Police could get $2.00 a check.

I understand they had over 4200 background checks on Saturday or about 42% more than last year on that date. I know our shop has sold 120 some guns since Friday morning last.

Just finished one over here, took about 30 tries to get through, figure 45 minutes or better.

friend went to the store to pick up his gun, store person says they haven't been able to get thru to the background check folks for a couple days! Anyone heard of this?
