What I did was to write a very bare bones response. "Thank you for your letter. I will consider your comments in future." I also altered the page to ADD the info about his shooting in high school and hunting AND having given his guns away and not been an NRA member. I also tried to better express why I thought it was important to include the post.

I have discovered that her brother is a lawyer and he has not expressed that he has a problem with the post.
