I prefer medium to dark woods (reply)

I like the contrast.

On a blued gun I like medium woods or something light like ivory micarta

Thanks for the input gentlemen. (reply)

I was leaning toward stags, the thought of buff horn crossed my mind as well.

I haven't ruled out white corian just yet. I've seen photos of Model 60's tricked out with a high polish Tyler T and white grips. Sure is an eye catcher.

Thanks for the input, I can't think of a better crew to ask about what looks good. I'm currently in search of a small onion sack for a holster, but I'll worry about that when it gets here.

Fancy walnut or rosewood are always good choices (reply)

for wooden stocks. I prefer darker grips on stainless and nickel pistols. Just a quirk of mine. But I wouldn't look down my nose at something fancy.

Horn looks good. I've had mixed luck with elk. BJ Snow works in giraffe bone, too, with great skill.

Are you righty-handed, Murph? (reply)

If'n I had a model 60 I think the cool setup would be the polished Tyler with a set of black Barami Hip-Grips, and have someone who is good at it cut some nice checkering on the right-side panel only, leaving the left one smooth. That solves the only problem I've found with Baramis - they are plain looking and kinda slick if your hands are sweaty. Checkering the right side gives a better grip, but the smooth left panel don't scrape yer tender hide when carried close.

I found the Hip-Grip to be real handy back when I carried a Model 36 sneaky-style.

What grips look best on a stainless revolver?

Picked up a super clean 1967 Model 60. Its clean as a hounds tooth. I have a Tyler T Grip polished silver ready to go on it. It came with a set of Goodyear grips, so those have to go.

I'm leaning towards corian white with Smith & Wesson medallions. Stag wouldn't look bad either I'm sure.

Any suggestions? Picture's?
