An Uninformed Seller

Last night I sent e-mail to a seller on Gun Broker about a K-frame bobbed hammer. I asked if it still had the ability to be used SA. I received a somewhat incredulous reply asking a) why I would want to cock a bobbed hammer, and b)how would I do that safely. I replied that by starting the hammer back with the trigger, cocking could be finished using the ball of the thumb. Skeeter Skelton described it in "Shooting Times". I thought everybody knew that. I had a Model 60 once that was bobbed and used SA on a few occasions while out bird hunting or fishing.
