I purchased a crossbow myself a few weeks ago, have not had a chance to hunt with it yet, but have no doubt it will do an admirable job.

I hunted in SE Kansas for about 20 years, and managed to take 4 "wall hanger" bucks.

I've got a very good friend who has given up rifle hunting due to all the road hunters, and a-hole hunters (many of them are family) that come out during rifle season. He also bow hunts, but I've got a bad back and just can't do it. I have been thinking about a crossbow, but I know absolutely nothing about them. Every pawn shop down here in Texas seems to have one or two, usually under $200.

This nice Whitetail taken yesterday morning.....shot square in the chest at 30 yards....did the predictable thing quickly....

My first crossbow deer...Kansas has now allowed those over 55 to use a crossbow without restrictions....given how frail I have become a nice option...
