Dixie Classic Gun & Knife show in Raleigh

Well, I went to the show today, and BOY was it busy. The doors opened at 9 AM. I got there at 11, and the line to get in was out the door and around the corner, easily 200 yards long. Fortunately things moved along pretty quickly.

I'm not used to the new prices. Three bricks of Winchester primers cost a whole C-note? And the cheapest Mosin 91/30 in the place was $139? Still, it was shoulder-to-shoulder moving through the aisles, and all the vendors appeared to be doing a brisk business (even the guys selling beef jerky).

People aren't letting the high prices slow them down. The general mood seemed to be "buy now while the buyin's good."
