Nothing new here. Five minutes after Al Gore invented the internet, the letter agencies were monitoring content. Once posted on the net it is there forever. I bet (pun intended) five seconds after someone walks into a casino the owners know, who you are, if you are a repeat customer, how much was spent in the past, what your net worth is, and how much you are likely willing to spend. Plate readers are getting more prolific and will continue to do so. Your cell phone tracks your movements. Millions of sheeple look for things to video and post. I stopped caring about all this when I figured the 'lists' I was on reached triple digits. Kind of a, I know, they know, I know thing. Situational awareness is not just head on a swivel anymore. It's not paranoia if it's real, and Boo-Boo it is real. The digital / cell phone age has just made it easier. Even down to Wal-Mart tracking your usual time spent, routes through stores, and how you behave when they relocate merchandise. Make a post, make a call, join a group or forum, just another data point.
