the new flowers on a mango tree... Should have some dropping to the ground in a couple months or so. Mangos that is. The flowers will disappear first. 
Ha! OK. Thank you. I do miss fresh mango ....
and fresh papaya ... and the little banana's that make the store-bought ones here taste like wax.

mentioning we've got a HUGE ripe papaya to share with the church tomorrow and a hand of almost ripe tiny bananas on the counter quickly turning yellow. To rub it in would be cruel so I won't. 
That's one thing we really miss when we're up north, fresh fruit all through the year. On the other hand, the apples down here leave a lot to be desired and I've never had a decent peach here either.
