1 Marine = relating to water
2 Marines are amphibious assault specialists
3 Outside the physical borders of the United States, any enlistment bonus is exempt from income tax. I've seen some inventive ways to do that, but this one, if for that reason, is rather unusual.
Most of my guys tried to schedule their deployments to coincide with their re-up date for the same reason.

My understanding is that Miles is right, about the amphibious part. Tim's teaching at the War College onboard the New Port base and someone made a remark about "returning to our amphibious roots." He took them up on it.

and going through 22 LR ammo like a field afire with his brother and Farmer Ed's kids. Can't believe it's been 15 years since we were able to make it to a CSA.
