back in the day, things like staking tools, and Dremels and such, were high-priced fancy stuff for grownups. I've done many a front sight this way, and never had any unauthorized departures. I would work the oversized sight stake down until it was a tight press fit into the slide slot, and then slather it with JB-Weld. Clean up all the excess, wait overnight, and then dress it all down inside the slide with a spoon file. Dem was the days.:-)
